Job Summary
Conduct daily patient care across general practice, emergency, and specialty settings including ultrasound, endoscopy, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and routine medical appointments. Actively participate in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, and sick patient workups while receiving supervision from experienced veterinarians and skilled support staff. Collaborate on case discussions and verify exam findings with your supervising veterinarian before proceeding with treatment plans. This externship provides clinical-year students at AVMA-accredited schools with hands-on experience in a full-service Texas clinic offering diverse species care.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Must provide proof of professional liability insurance
- Must be in their clinical years
- Must be on official externship blocks for school credit
