Job Summary
Participate actively in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, sick patient workups, and routine medical appointments under the supervision of an experienced veterinarian and skilled support staff. Discuss cases with your supervising veterinarian to verify exam findings before proceeding with treatment plans. Gain hands-on experience in ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, wellness, and preventative care for dogs and cats within our full-service general practice clinic in West Lafayette, Indiana. We tailor the externship experience based on your stated professional goals to support your development as a veterinarian.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Must provide proof of professional liability insurance
- Must be a 3rd or 4th year veterinary medical student
- Must be on official externship blocks for school credit
