Job Summary
Conduct active participation in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, sick patient workups, and routine medical appointments under the supervision of an experienced veterinarian. Discuss cases with your supervising veterinarian to confirm exam findings before proceeding. Engage in collaborative problem-solving and hands-on patient care across general practice, emergency, and specialty settings. This externship provides clinical-year students at AVMA-accredited schools with transformative, supportive experience in comprehensive medical and surgical care for dogs and cats. Stipends are available to offset travel and lodging costs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Must provide proof of professional liability insurance

Desired Qualifications
- Priority scheduling is given to students in their clinical years on official externship blocks for school credit
