Job Summary
Participate actively in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, sick patient workups, and routine medical appointments under supervision. Discuss cases with your supervising veterinarian to verify exam findings and collaborate on treatment plans. Gain hands-on experience with dogs, cats, exotics, and small livestock across soft tissue surgery, dentistry, holistic care, and preventative services. This externship is designed for clinical-year AVMA-accredited students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings, with opportunities to rotate through GP, ER, and specialty environments at HousePaws Mobile Veterinary Services locations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Must provide proof of professional liability insurance
- Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
Desired Qualifications
- Priority scheduling is given to students in their clinical years on official externship blocks for school credit
