Conduct active participation in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, sick patient workups, and routine medical appointments under the supervision of an experienced veterinarian. Engage in case discussions, collaborative problem-solving, and hands-on patient care across GP, ER, and specialty settings while verifying exam findings with your supervising veterinarian before proceeding. Gain diverse clinical experience in ultrasound, acupuncture, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and preventative care for dogs, cats, and small mammals. This externship offers transformative mentorship and confidence-building for clinical-year students at AVMA-accredited schools, providing access to state-of-the-art mobile and hospital facilities in South New Jersey.
