Veterinary Student Externship- Firehouse Animal Health Center (Westlake)

Job Summary
Conduct daily patient care across general practice, emergency, and specialty settings including ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and wellness appointments. Participate actively in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergency workups, and routine medical visits under the supervision of an experienced veterinarian. Collaborate with the team on case discussions, collaborative problem-solving, and exam findings verification to develop clinical skills. This externship is available to current AVMA-accredited veterinary students (1st through 4rd year) at Firehouse Animal Health Center in Austin, Texas, offering diverse rotations across our network of over 100 hospital locations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Must provide proof of professional liability insurance
