Job Summary
Conduct active participation in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, sick patient workups, and routine medical appointments under the supervision of an experienced veterinarian and skilled support staff. Collaborate with the team through case discussions, collaborative problem-solving, and hands-on patient care in general practice, emergency, and specialty settings. Discuss cases with your supervising veterinarian to verify exam findings before proceeding. This externship provides clinical-year students at AVMA-accredited schools with diverse experience across dogs, cats, and exotics, including ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and preventative medicine, fostering transformative growth in a supportive culture focused on exceptional client service.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Must provide proof of professional liability insurance
