Job Summary
Participate actively in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, sick patient workups, and routine medical appointments under the supervision of an experienced veterinarian and skilled support staff. Discuss cases with your supervising veterinarian to verify exam findings and confirm your plans before proceeding. Engage in case discussions, collaborative problem-solving, and hands-on patient care across general practice, emergency, and specialty settings. This externship is designed for clinical-year students at AVMA-accredited schools, offering diverse experience with dogs, cats, and exotics through our full-service hospital network.
Required Qualifications
- Current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- Clinical-year status (3rd or 4th year)
- Official externship blocks for school credit
