Job Summary
Conduct hands-on patient care in GP, ER, and specialty settings including surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, sick patient workups, and routine medical appointments. Participate actively in case discussions and collaborative problem-solving with a large, multi-doctor team skilled in ultrasound, dentistry, and CT. Supervised by an experienced veterinarian, verify exam findings before proceeding with cases as part of a diverse caseload. This externship offers clinical-year students at AVMA-accredited schools a transformative opportunity to apply classroom knowledge across a wide variety of partner hospitals.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Must provide proof of professional liability insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Priority scheduling is given to students in their clinical years on official externship blocks for school credit
