Veterinary Student Externship

Participate actively in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, sick patient workups, and routine medical appointments under the supervision of an experienced veterinarian and skilled support staff. Collaborate on case discussions, engage in collaborative problem-solving, and verify exam findings with your supervising veterinarian before proceeding. Gain hands-on patient care experience across GP, ER, and specialty settings while discussing cases to confirm your clinical plans. This externship provides a transformative clinical experience for AVMA-accredited students in their 3rd or 4th year at Crossroads Animal Hospital, a full-service facility in Alabama offering wellness, dental, and surgical care for dogs, cats, and exotics.
