Job Summary
Participate actively in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, sick patient workups, and routine medical appointments under the supervision of an experienced veterinarian and skilled support staff. Discuss cases with your supervising veterinarian to confirm exam findings and verify your plans before moving forward. This clinical externship is designed for 3rd or 4th year veterinary students at AVMA-accredited schools, offering hands-on experience in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, wellness, and client communication at Animal Hospital Randolph in Asheboro, NC.
Required Qualifications
- Current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- 3rd or 4th year veterinary medical student
- Clinical-year student status
- Official externship blocks for school credit
