Job Summary
Conduct case discussions, collaborative problem-solving, and hands-on patient care in GP, ER, and specialty settings under the supervision of an experienced veterinarian and skilled support staff. Actively participate in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, sick patient workups, and routine medical appointments while discussing findings with your supervising veterinarian to verify exam findings before proceeding. Complete this clinical externship at Animal Clinic East of Chattanooga, TN, a full-service facility dedicated to AAHA accreditation and mentorship for 3rd and 4th year veterinary students.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Must provide proof of professional liability insurance
- Must be a 3rd or 4th year veterinary medical student
Desired Qualifications
- Student in their clinical years on official externship blocks for school credit
