Job Summary
The Veterinary Sterilization Technician role focuses on cleaning, inspecting, assembling, packaging, sterilizing, and inventory management of surgical instruments and equipment to support CASE's surgery, neurology, and internal medicine teams. Responsibilities include decontaminating instruments, operating ultrasonic cleaners and instrument washers, inspecting for cleanliness and wear, assembling instrument packs, operating steam autoclaves and EO sterilizers, monitoring cycles, handling specialty equipment (laparoscopic cameras, endoscopes, arthroscopes, powered instruments), maintaining sterile storage and inventory, adhering to infection control and PPE protocols, maintaining records, onboarding/training new staff, and identifying workflow improvements. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with strongly preferred experience in sterile processing within veterinary or human healthcare settings, plus desirable experience with surgical instrumentation and specialty equipment. The role is full-time in Boulder, CO, with shift schedules listed, and provides comprehensive benefits.
