Job Summary
Perform ultrasound studies and facilitate ultrasound training at your home hospital and regional hospitals, while coordinating education programs and ultrasound curricula. Maintain relationships with teleconsultation radiologists, ensure training content aligns with VEG culture and techniques, track skills with a VEG Ultrasound Certificate checklist, and participate in program development and schedule coordination. Travel to regional hospitals and off-site training facilities (e.g., Fort Collins, CO; Las Vegas, NV; White Plains, NY) to conduct training demonstrations and curricular material development (PowerPoints, videos, simulations, assessments) for doctors and nurses, with opportunities for ongoing education and leadership growth.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed veterinary technician or RDMS
- 3+ years veterinary ultrasound experience
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years veterinary ultrasound experience
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT/LVMT), diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS), and/or equivalent experience
- Previous training experience and the patience to teach and develop doctors, nurses, and fellow sonographers
- Comfortable mentoring others and giving/receiving feedback from colleagues
- Desire to travel to regional hospitals and off-site training facilities
