Job Summary
Ultrasound-focused veterinary sonography at VEG emergency hospitals, performing ultrasound studies, coordinating and delivering ultrasound training across home and regional facilities, mentoring peers, and engaging with teleconsultation radiologists to ensure up-to-date sonographic techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT/LVMT) and/or diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) and/or equivalent experience
- 3+ years veterinary ultrasound experience
- Previous training experience and the patience to teach and develop doctors, nurses, and fellow sonographers
- Comfortable mentoring others and giving/receiving feedback from colleagues
- Adaptability to changing environments
- Excellent communicator with peers, customers, and VEGgies
- Eagerness to grow as a sonographer through training and continuing education
- Desire to travel to regional hospitals and off-site training facilities (e.g., Fort Collins, CO; Las Vegas, NV; White Plains, NY, etc.)
