Job Summary
Provide ultrasound support for VEG hospitals and training facilities, perform ultrasound studies, facilitate ultrasound training at home and regional hospitals, maintain relationships with teleconsultation radiologists, ensure training content aligns with VEG culture and up-to-date techniques, track ultrasound skills with a VEG Ultrasound Certificate checklist, participate in program evaluation, and collaborate with medical directors and hospital managers to implement training protocols. Must be credentialed as a Veterinary Technician and/or RDMS with 3+ years of veterinary ultrasound experience and willingness to travel to regional hospitals/off-site training sites; role includes developing curriculum materials (PowerPoints, videos, simulations, assessments) and delivering educational demonstrations for doctors and nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT/LVMT)
- diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS)
- equivalent experience (e.g., sonographer course certificates)
- 3+ years veterinary ultrasound experience
- training experience and the ability to teach/mentor doctors, nurses, and fellow sonographers
- willingness to travel to regional hospitals and off-site training facilities (e.g., Fort Collins, CO; Las Vegas, NV; White Plains, NY)
