Veterinary Rehabilitation Technician

Job Summary
Assist practitioners with patient evaluations and perform prescribed rehabilitation treatments including ice, laser, and other therapies. Provide clear, compassionate communication with clients while maintaining a clean work area and ensuring consistent, regular attendance. Work independently under the direction of the Rehabilitation Director, adjusting to a changing environment and handling stress with poise. This role requires physical stamina for extended standing, restraint, and lifting up to 40 pounds, with exposure to hazards such as aggressive patients and infectious diseases. The team offers a partnership with Purdue University's online Licensed Veterinary Technician Program and supports continuous education.
Required Qualifications
- two years of experience working as a veterinary technician
- Experience working with animals
- Knowledge of basic animal restraint techniques
- Excellent communication skills with clients and coworkers
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills
- Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds
- Ability to work well with others as a team
- Flexibility and the ability to adjust to a changing environment
- Ability to handle stress and pressure calmly, with poise and tact
- Self-motivated, hard worker
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate appropriately
- Willingness and ability to learn new tasks quickly
- Ability to receive constructive criticism and accept responsibility for actions

- Consistent, regular attendance and on-time arrival at work each day you are scheduled
- Always be in position and prepared to work at the start of each shift
- Must accomplish regular Continuing Education classes in relation to your role
Desired Qualifications
- Physical therapy education or experience preferred
