Job Summary
Support rehabilitation therapists and veterinarians in patient care and therapy sessions for dogs and cats recovering from surgery, injury, neurologic disease, and chronic mobility conditions. Assist with underwater treadmill sessions, therapeutic exercises, laser therapy, shockwave therapy, and other rehabilitation modalities; monitor patients during treatments; assist with patient intake, weight collection, and medical record documentation; provide home exercise program demonstrations and client education; maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and treatment areas; deliver excellent customer service to clients and help with scheduling. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to safely lift and restrain animals weighing up to 50 pounds independently and assist with larger patients
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Compassion for animals and their owners
