Job Summary

Greet clients and patients positively to set a welcoming tone, then convert incoming calls into scheduled appointments by managing phone interactions and addressing client needs. Maximize call conversion rates by promoting Care Companion Plans, performing weekly proactive reminder calls for overdue services, and facilitating client education on online pharmacy options. Administer essential duties including patient intake, discharge, and accurate medical chart documentation while handling cashier responsibilities and reconciling the cash drawer daily. Maintain a clean reception area and adapt to unique client needs to foster long-term relationships and repeat visits. Work onsite in a fast-paced hospital environment with flexibility for 10+ hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of experience working with computers
  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, and reaching
  • Flexibility with schedules including 10+ hour shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Typing 40+ wpm (keyboard)
  • Basic MS Office products (Word, Excel) and email systems
  • Ability to handle dogs, cats, and exotic animals
  • Ability to convert incoming client calls into scheduled appointments
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain calm and focused while addressing high call volumes
  • Ability to learn new computer software systems (PIMs, scheduling, etc.)
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong customer service focus
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent phone demeanor
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills
  • Ability to proactively resolve customer complaints
  • Ability to adhere to OSHA standards and regulations
  • Ability to administer essential receptionist duties including patient intake and discharge
  • Ability to facilitate client education and utilization of client-facing online pharmacy
  • Ability to handle cashier duties including reconciling the cash drawer daily
  • Ability to maintain accurate medical charts for all patients
  • Ability to work closely with the veterinary team to streamline patient flow
  • Ability to ensure the reception area remains clean and inviting
  • Ability to exhibit strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to each client's unique needs
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism, attentiveness, and a strong knowledge of available services
