Veterinary Receptionist

The Veterinary Receptionist will be the first point of contact, converting incoming client calls into booked appointments while delivering a welcoming, professional experience. Key duties include greeting clients, managing calls to maximize appointment scheduling, promoting preventive care options, performing patient intake and discharge, handling cashier duties and cash reconciliation, maintaining accurate medical charts, guiding clients to use online pharmacy, and supporting the veterinary team to ensure smooth patient flow. The role requires strong customer service, excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, proficiency with computer software (PIMs, scheduling, Word, Excel, email), and a proactive attitude toward client education and relationship-building. Must be able to work onsite with flexibility for extended shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays, and be capable of lifting 25+ pounds. OSHA compliance awareness and a willingness to learn basic veterinary-related tasks are expected.
