Job Summary
Lead hospital operations as Veterinary Practice Manager at Crystal Springs Pet Hospital in San Mateo, CA, partnering with the Medical Director to ensure high-quality veterinary care, exceptional client experience, and strong financial performance. Manage and develop a 15+ person team (hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development), optimize patient flow and scheduling for DVMs and staff, drive a positive culture and client communications, oversee inventory, purchasing, and cost of goods, contribute to budgeting and KPI tracking, ensure compliance with hospital policies and employment practices, and collaborate with leadership to drive hospital performance and revenue growth.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience managing operations in a veterinary hospital (or similar healthcare setting)
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for team development and culture-building
- Experience with HR systems (HRIS, ATS) and performance management
- Solid understanding of financials, including budgeting, reporting, and KPIs
- Proficiency with computers and practice management systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field (or equivalent experience)
- RVT, CVPM, SHRM-CP, MBA, or similar credentials (preferred)
