Job Summary
Lead a team of managers to optimize clinic operations, including client experience, nursing/medical support, and veterinary medicine. Oversee daily clinic workflows, schedule staff for maximum impact, and recruit new hires in partnership with Talent Acquisition. Model superior client and patient care by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and creating routines for consistent top-quality service. Execute plans to meet clinic impact goals while solving root causes of operational obstacles. Maintain a safe workplace by overseeing OSHA compliance, managing inclement weather plans, and ensuring Fear Free® certifications for all staff. Oversee financial health through cash management, payroll, and expense tracking, while supervising security and custodial contractors. Represent the ASPCA to external partners, including facility tours and donor events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of combined professional work experience in public-facing services industries
- Minimum of 5 years managing direct reports
- English (required)
- Fear Free® Shelter certification
- Ability to exemplify ASPCA's core values and behavioral competencies
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years managing in a veterinary clinic environment
- Experience working within a veterinary clinic environment
- Minimum of 3 years managing managers/supervisors
- Budgeting and managing operating expenses experience
- Bilingual (fluent in Spanish or other language)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to respond to shifting priorities
- Proficient technology skills including Microsoft office and ability to use electronic medical records system, online calendar and email
- Experience leading and coaching people managers to be effective leaders
- Highly motivated self-starter capable of providing leadership and support to a large and complex operation
