Veterinary Operations Technician

Job Summary
Manage hospital inventory by creating orders based on par levels, receiving shipments, matching them to purchase orders, and stocking Central Supply while maintaining rotation and cleanliness. Track backorders and short-expiration items, communicate shipment issues to Purchasing, and approve vendor invoices for payment. Complete daily cycle counts, analyze inventory variances with the Operations Partner, and perform monthly laboratory equipment calibration. Maintain controlled substance audits and ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, and OSHA regulations. Assist with equipment repairs, coordinate hospital transport, and participate in onboarding processes. Functions as the hospital operations point of contact during business hours.
Required Qualifications
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to work standing for long periods of time with frequent stooping or bending
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
- Strong acumen with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other various software platforms
- Compliance with regulatory agencies requirements including DEA, SBOP, FDA, OSHA
- Inventory experience in a medical environment preferred
- Works successfully as a team member and autonomously
- Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Motivated to help drive change
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Detail oriented, quality focused, and self-motivated
- Demonstrates sense of urgency while maintaining composure
- Passing of a drug screen and background check
