Job Summary
Lead and develop the veterinary nursing team within emergency hospitals, driving a culture of empowerment and excellence. Manage day-to-day flow for the nursing team, oversee scheduling, onboarding/offboarding, and licensure/education programs, and partner with hospital leadership to align goals and patient care. Use feedback to guide team development, mentor staff, and uphold medical excellence while promoting VEG values and opportunities for growth and learning.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of the VEG practice is required
- A.S. or B.S. from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program strongly preferred
- 5+ years in a clinical veterinary nursing role, emergency-specific experience preferred
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Must be willing to work in a noisy environment with strong or unpleasant odors
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as needed basis based on hospital needs
- Work well in a fast-paced environment with people from all backgrounds and different personality types
