Job Summary
Leadership role overseeing veterinary technical staff and nursing operations in an emergency hospital; responsible for staff development, structured training and onboarding programs, performance management, and day-to-day operational oversight. Partners with hospital leadership and Medical Director to ensure consistency in patient and client care, while providing hands-on nursing support (approximately 25%) during emergencies. The Nursing Manager will balance administrative leadership with clinical floor support, drive staffing and workflow improvements, and foster a positive, accountable culture to deliver exceptional care. Requires credentialed veterinary technician experience and a minimum of 3 years in an emergency or specialty setting, plus strong communication and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred (CVT, LVT, LVMT, RVT, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a veterinary emergency or specialty hospital setting
- Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
- Current state licensure preferred when applicable
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team development experience in a clinical setting
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) required; multilingual skills a plus
