Job Summary
Conduct surgical patient preparation, monitor anaesthesia and recovery, and assist veterinarians during procedures while performing dental radiography and pathology collection. Administer medications, manage inpatient care, and maintain strict infection control standards. Support clients throughout their pet's treatment journey and contribute to daily hospital operations. This part-time role requires 19 hours weekly and demands a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with two years of clinical experience. You will work alongside Dr Asanda, Calli, and Dr Sarah in a busy, well-staffed after-hours syndicate handling trauma and medical emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
- Has a minimum of 2 years' clinical nursing experience
- Is a confident and experienced Surgical Veterinary Nurse
- Has strong skills in anaesthetic monitoring and patient recovery
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail
- Has strong communication and client care skills
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic to every shift
- Is passionate about patient care
- Enjoys contributing to a positive, supportive team culture
