Job Summary
Provide high-quality medical, surgical, diagnostic, and preventive care to veterinary patients while maintaining an active clinical caseload. Serve as a clinical leader to establish and maintain high standards of medical care, mentoring, coaching, and supporting associate veterinarians and team members. Promote a collaborative hospital culture by reviewing cases and medical records to improve patient outcomes and clinical standards. Work closely with practice leadership to improve workflows, scheduling, team development, and overall hospital performance. Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development initiatives while assisting with compliance, equipment management, and controlled substance protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
- Active veterinary license or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice
- DEA registration and other required credentials, as applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Several years of clinical veterinary experience preferred
- Previous leadership, mentoring, or team development experience is preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
- Commitment to compassionate, client-focused veterinary care
- Ability to work collaboratively and positively with doctors, technicians, and support staff
