Job Summary
Manage multiple hospitalized and incoming emergency cases under supervision while performing spays, neuters, and basic soft tissue surgeries under guided mentorship. Participate in patient care rounds, case discussions, and active departmental meetings, including Fellow Rounds, lectures, and Morbidity & Mortality rounds. Collaborate with experienced ER veterinarians, specialists, and support staff to deliver compassionate patient care across canine, feline, and exotic species. Maintain accurate medical records and attend hospital-provided continuing education sessions and training workshops. Complete a 13-month program divided evenly among daytime ER, overnight ER, hospitalist, and specialty block rotations, averaging 42 hours per week.
