Job Summary
Internal Medicine Technician at RBVH supports internists in an oncology-focused role. Responsibilities include assisting with advanced diagnostic procedures (endoscopy, ultrasound), administering medications and fluids, monitoring hospitalized internal medicine patients, collecting laboratory samples, venipuncture and IV catheter placement, preparing patients for imaging, monitoring anesthesia during procedures, maintaining detailed medical records, client education on treatment plans and at-home care, operating specialized equipment, assisting with feeding tube placement and nutrition, recognizing changes in patient condition, and coordinating with other departments to ensure comprehensive care. Requires 3-5 years of veterinary hospital nursing experience; credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) is preferred. Required Qualifications
