Job Summary
The Concierge at Vetco Total Care veterinary hospital handles front-desk responsibilities to ensure a smooth client and patient experience. Responsibilities include answering the practice phone and routing calls, maintaining the hospital appointment calendar, greeting clients and patients by name, monitoring wait times, coordinating appointments, assisting with onboarding and training of new staff, ensuring the waiting area is clean and stocked, confirming appointments via client’s preferred method of communication, and providing backup support to technical staff as needed. The role emphasizes compassionate client service, effective communication, teamwork, and maintaining efficient hospital workflow to support high-quality care for pets and their families.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in veterinary practice or a customer-facing role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Compassionate and sympathetic demeanor with professional attitude
- Exceptional telephone and computer skills
- Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
- Ability to manage client communications and appointment coordination
- Experience with or willingness to learn a Practice Management System
