Job Summary
Oversee all financial operations for client accounts within VERG-Brooklyn, a 24/7 emergency veterinary practice. Responsibilities include reviewing invoices for services, processing payments and refunds, maintaining precise financial records, coordinating with pet insurance companies for claims submissions and reimbursement tracking, preparing financial reports, guiding clients on payment options including third-party financing such as CareCredit, and collaborating with the veterinary team to ensure seamless, accurate billing and outstanding client service.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial coordination, medical billing, or veterinary billing (preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first approach
- Proficiency in financial management systems, practice management software, and general office technology
- Experience with Excel, Instinct, and Xero is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- A passion for animals and the veterinary field
