Job Summary
Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Technician needed to help launch Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency's new Dunwoody hospital. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients for MRI, CT, and digital radiography; performing anesthesia preparation and induction; real-time patient monitoring (ECG, capnography, pulse oximetry, BP, temperature); ensuring imaging safety and quality; collaborating with radiologists, surgeons, and other specialists; maintaining imaging records and supporting emergency and critical care needs; opportunities to pursue Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) pathways and career growth within a growing specialty hospital network.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of veterinary experience
- Experience in Specialty Veterinary Hospitals or Emergency Veterinary Hospitals
- Experience in ICU, anesthesia, surgery, or specialty medicine
- Strong foundation in Veterinary Nursing, Patient Monitoring, Venipuncture, IV Catheter Placement, Anesthesia Monitoring, Diagnostic Imaging
- Preferred: Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent credentialing
- Previous MRI and CT experience preferred
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols
- CPR/RECOVER certification and advanced ECC or Anesthesia training is a plus
