Job Summary
We are seeking a Veterinary Criticalist – Hospitalist to join our Northwest Arkansas emergency team in a flexible, daytime-only, contract role. The ideal candidate is board-certified or board-eligible, licensed in Arkansas, and capable of managing hospitalized patients and critical care cases within a busy ER. The position offers collaboration with ER clinicians, on-site access to MRI and CT, a robust support team of CVTs, and opportunities for mentorship and growth in a community-focused hospital that supports a K9 trauma response program and a veterinary blood bank. Strong communication with clients and a commitment to clinical excellence are essential throughout a fast-paced, multi-doctor environment.
Required Qualifications
- DVM degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Valid veterinary license to practice in Arkansas
- Board certified or board eligible in veterinary medicine
- Previous experience in emergency or critical care preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-doctor environment
- Compassionate and team-oriented
