Job Summary
Clinical Staff Manager to recruit, develop, and empower the hospital's veterinary support staff; oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of credentialed technicians and veterinary assistants; lead the support staff team across shifts; manage HR operations (payroll, I-9s, benefits), performance management, and process improvements; collaborate with Medical Director and Regional Support Staff Director to align practice goals, ensure credentialing/licensing compliance, and maintain high-quality patient care and customer experience. Emphasizes building an inclusive, learning-oriented environment, coaching staff, and driving operational excellence in a busy emergency veterinary hospital.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in clinical veterinary technician role
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role
- Must be enrolled in a Credentialing Support Program (CSP) and able to become a Credentialed Veterinary Technician for the state in which you will work within one year of employment
- Able to become credentialed veterinary technician within one year or will not remain in position
- Flexibility to work 5 days per week, including weekends and holidays on rotating schedule
- Must be willing to work in a noisy environment with strong odors
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams
- Strong leadership, people-centric approach, and ownership of outcomes
