Job Summary
Lead daily operations of the Emergency and Specialty clinical teams while partnering with hospital leadership to establish goals, improve workflows, and support initiatives. Mentor Veterinary Technicians and assistants, develop onboarding and competency programs, and coordinate training sessions and continuing education opportunities. Establish clear expectations, provide coaching and performance feedback, and manage the Veterinary Student and externship program including scheduling and documentation. Collaborate with department leaders on staffing needs, quality improvement, and hospital-wide initiatives. Participate in regular leadership meetings and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT, or VTS)
- Minimum of 1 year of management experience
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills
- Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team development skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities
- Results-oriented with the ability to establish priorities and meet organizational goals
- Professional, positive, and collaborative leadership style
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced specialty and emergency hospital
