Veterinary Client Service Representative

Job Summary
Greet and check-in clients, answer telephones and transfer calls, and escort clients and their pets to exam rooms. Manage medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence while discussing payment options and processing transactions. Maintain a neat and clean lobby, ensuring all interactions are facilitated smoothly, compassionately, and effectively. This role requires practical knowledge of hospital organization, veterinary terminology, and financial policies, with the ability to multi-task and enter data accurately in a fast-paced environment. Shifts run from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM with a rotating weekly schedule. Join MedVet, an emergency and specialty provider offering advanced treatments like chemotherapy, radiation, and cardiac ablations, to drive the MedVet experience for clients and patients.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to remain composed in stressful and emotional situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent client service skills and phone etiquette
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work successfully as part of a team and autonomously
- Sense of urgency within a fast-paced environment
- Some flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
- Critical thinking skills and ability to anticipate needs inter & intra-departmentally
- General computer competency including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Previous experience in veterinary setting
- Ability to multi-task and enter data accurately
- Must always maintain a compassionate yet professional composure
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work additional hours when necessary
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must pass a background check
