Job Summary
Greet clients and their pets with a warm, welcoming attitude while answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and processing payments. Check clients in and out, explain invoices, and educate pet parents about wellness care, vaccines, and diagnostics. Manage medical records by entering client and patient information into practice management software, and respond to emails, texts, and online requests. Coordinate prescription requests, make follow-up calls, and maintain a clean, organized reception area. Communicate with veterinarians and technicians to ensure seamless patient care, and support clients with empathy during emergencies or end-of-life visits. Maintain accurate records, handle high call volumes, and stay flexible to assist wherever needed. Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 1 year of veterinary experience
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both in person and over the phone
- Comfortable handling a high volume of calls while providing a positive client experience
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn veterinary practice management software
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail when scheduling appointments, processing payments, and maintaining accurate client and patient records
- Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional during emotional or emergency situations
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and fellow CSRs
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Client Service Representative or in a veterinary hospital is preferred
