Job Summary
Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures, including supporting surgical and dental work with patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery. Obtain patient histories, record vital signs, perform assessments, and communicate concerns to the medical team while maintaining accurate records. Provide compassionate support to patients throughout visits and educate clients with clarity and confidence. Keep treatment areas clean, stocked, and organized while collaborating with teammates to ensure efficient hospital workflow. Work in a two-doctor small animal practice serving the Tri-Cities community, gaining hands-on experience with dentistry, spays, neuters, and wellness care in a supportive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in veterinary medicine or another client-care role
- Confidence with patient handling and basic veterinary technical skills, or a willingness to learn
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate and professional approach to patients, clients, and teammates
- Excellent attention to detail
