Job Summary
Triage incoming patients and prioritize care based on urgency while rooming patients and obtaining accurate medical histories from clients. Assist with emergency treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, IV catheter placement, blood draws, in-house laboratory testing, and medication administration. Provide post-operative and critical patient care, manage a variable caseload, and support client communication, scheduling, and check-in/out processes. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area. This role is full-time with 24/7 scheduling including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends, offering a shared impact bonus, 50% discounts on teammate pet care, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant
- Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, and drug calculations
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and efficient in emergency situations
- Compassionate communicator with strong client service skills
- Team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- ER experience
