Job Summary
Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeries by handling and restraining animals safely. Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas through cleaning and sterilizing equipment, while performing basic laboratory tests like collecting blood, urine, and stool samples. Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision, feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed, and maintain accurate medical records. Communicate with pet owners regarding care plans and follow-up visits, while cleaning and maintaining the clinic environment. Work four 10-hour shifts from 7:45 AM to 6:00 PM with no weekends, earning $17-$20/hr based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of veterinary assistant experience
- Technical know-how in areas such as disinfection, administering medication, and using diagnostic equipment
- Physical ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Must be able to work four 10 hour shifts 7:45 AM to 6:00 PM
- Must be available for NO WEEKENDS
