Job Summary
Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeries by handling and restraining animals safely. Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas through cleaning and sterilization, while performing basic laboratory tests like collecting blood, urine, and stool samples. Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision, feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and communicate with pet owners regarding care plans. Clean and maintain the clinic, including stocking supplies and ensuring a safe environment. Work full-time four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Saturday, with rotating swing shifts available.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary setting.
- Technical know-how in areas such as disinfection, administering medication, and using diagnostic equipment.
- Physical ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Must be available to work rotating Saturdays and swing shifts (10:00 AM – 8:00 PM) as needed.
- Must have open availability to work any scheduled shift during our hours of operation.
