Job Summary
Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures while providing compassionate nursing care for patients. Safely handle and restrain patients using low-stress techniques, obtain thorough histories, and record vital signs accurately. Prepare and administer medications, perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement, and assist with radiographs, laboratory testing, and surgical procedures. Monitor patients, communicate condition changes, educate clients on treatment plans, and maintain accurate medical records. Keep treatment areas clean and collaborate with teammates to ensure efficient workflow. Requires previous veterinary assistant or technician experience, strong animal-handling skills, and clear communication. Monday through Friday, 3-4 days a week, 7:15 am - 6 pm with rotating Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician
- Licensed veterinary technician
- Experienced veterinary assistant
- Strong animal-handling and patient-care skills
- Clear, compassionate communication with clients and teammates
- The ability to remain organized and calm in a fast-paced environment

- A commitment to continued learning and professional growth
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping
- Confidence supporting examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures
Desired Qualifications
- An understanding of anesthesia is a plus
