Veterinary Assistant

Job Summary

Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during wellness, illness, and surgical appointments by obtaining patient histories, safely restraining patients, preparing exam rooms, and supporting laboratory testing and sample collection. Maintain accurate medical records, provide compassionate client communication, and ensure efficient daily workflows through clean, organized hospital areas. Work Monday through Saturday with split shifts or shorter shifts to offset hours.

Required Qualifications

  • The ability to safely lift and restrain animals of various sizes
  • Previous Veterinary Assistant experience preferred
  • Animal handling experience with a strong desire to learn will also be considered
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependability and strong attention to detail
  • A positive, collaborative attitude
  • A genuine passion for patient care and client service

Desired Qualifications
