Job Summary
ER Veterinary Technician Assistant Team Coordinator responsible for leading and directing ER VA/VTAs, onboarding and training new staff, supporting hospital leadership, coordinating schedules and SOP/Standards of Care development, participating in recruitment and performance improvement, and ensuring safety/compliance within the Emergency department; requires collaboration with ER leadership, DVMs/RVTs, and hospital teams; strong communication, problem-solving, and confidentiality skills; familiarity with Woofware, Instinct, MSDS, and Microsoft Office; position based in Vancouver, BC with in-person ER duties.
Required Qualifications
- ER VTA status in good standing with VAERC
- Be able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, Woofware, Instinct
- Read/follow MSDS sheets and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines for hazardous materials and radiation safety
- Display tact, diplomacy and complete confidentiality with colleagues, clients and fellow leaders
- Be flexible in attitude and work habits
