Job Summary
As a Surgical Veterinary Assistant, assist veterinarians with patient restraint during surgical procedures and maintain cleanliness and organization in surgery suites, kennels, floors, and treatment areas. Responsibilities include stocking and restocking surgery suites, handling laundry, taking patients outside for walks, maintaining and cleaning anesthesia and surgical equipment, sterilizing instruments, and communicating with clients about financial estimates, surgical progress, take-home instructions, and follow-up care. Also assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, maintaining patient records, and managing schedules. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the veterinary field
- strong veterinary customer service background
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
