Job Summary
Part-time Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and techs in examinations, treatments, and surgeries. Responsibilities include restraining animals safely, preparing examination rooms and surgical areas, performing basic lab tests (collecting blood, urine, and stool samples), administering medications and vaccinations under supervision, feeding/bathing/exercising animals, maintaining medical records, and communicating with pet owners about care plans and follow-ups. Requires prior experience with animals in a veterinary setting, knowledge of disinfection and diagnostic equipment, and the physical ability to handle animals safely. Located at River's Edge Animal Hospital in Rock Hill, SC; schedule varies with open hours and rotating Saturdays. Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary setting.
