Job Summary
Scribe for veterinarians during visits, support medical teams with surgeries, x-rays, and treatments, and compassionately handle and restrain pets for exams. Record and report on patient symptoms, clean and restock clinic common areas, and clearly communicate pricing estimates and treatment plans to clients. Assist with client interactions, walk-ins, calls, scheduling, and education as needed while performing other duties assigned by team leaders. This full-time role includes a rotating schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience working as a veterinary assistant or kennel assistant
- A working knowledge of veterinary terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask with accuracy and efficiency
- A high proficiency for typing and utilizing multiple computer systems and capturing recommendations made during the course of a visit
- A passion for pets!
- Independent, unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer
