Job Summary

Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical preparations while safely restraining and handling animals of varying sizes. Administer medications and treatments as directed, calculate dosages accurately, and monitor patient status to communicate medical concerns. Support post-operative recovery and assist with humane euthanasia procedures when necessary. Maintain accurate medical records and enter data into shelter software while cleaning kennels and restocking supplies. This full-time role requires standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and occasional weekend or evening work. You will collaborate with shelter staff and volunteers to ensure high standards of care for thousands of animals annually.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Previous animal handling experience
