Job Summary
As a Veterinary Assistant at Petfolk, you will support the care team in wellness and sick patient care, assist with venipuncture, surgical and dental procedures, and exams, and partner closely with pet parents to ensure exceptional experiences in a tech-enabled, collaborative setting. This role emphasizes Fear Free, low-stress handling, strong communication, teamwork, and ongoing professional growth, with weekend availability preferred and a focus on compassionate pet and family interactions. The position is part-time and located in Oklahoma City, OK.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on experience in veterinary clinical care
- Comfortable with venipuncture, surgical/dental assistance, and exams
- Advocate for Fear Free, force-free, low-stress handling techniques
- Tech-savvy, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player
- Loves working with both pets and people
