Job Summary
Veterinary Assistant supporting doctors and technicians in a fast-paced small-animal clinic. Responsible for patient care, vital signs, lab and pharmacy assistance, surgical prep, in-patient care, client education, and bilingual communication with a diverse South Florida clientele. Role includes mentoring toward a Veterinary Technician track, hands-on training, and opportunities for advancement. High school diploma or equivalent required; 1+ years in a veterinary/animal care setting preferred (training provided). Based at Nob Hill Animal Clinic in Plantation, FL.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in veterinary/animal care preferred (training provided)
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
- Basic knowledge of animal behavior and medical terminology
- Ability to safely restrain dogs and cats for exams and procedures
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced clinical setting
